Hi, I got my PCB from jlcpcb.com yesterday and started assembling. I would like to confirm if the 40 pin header connections are correct or not. I assume that the white dot should be connected to pin1 of the header but by doing so the header is on the other side of the ardinuo shield as opposite to the illustration in Albeagle's website. Best, KK

KK,
I don't know if you saw my earlier post regarding the sockets but I deleted it to avoid misleading you. Your sockets the way you have them in the photo may work just fine but I'd make sure you can follow the wires in the ribbon from pin to pin and that things line up as they should as some people get this backwards and it is very difficult to un-solder those sockets. Not very helpful I know but without following wires with a voltage tester I can't be sure I'm giving you correct information. I would not go by the pictures on the web site as things can get turned around. You will need to coordinate the notches in the pin plugs on both the shield and the radio stack board such that the wires travel to the correct pins on each.
You will need to scratch out this connection before you solder the 40 pin sockets or it will be pretty much impossible to get to after soldering. Not sure how I'm going to deal with this since I had not noticed it prior to soldering my 40 pin sockets. I think I may be able to remove some pins from the socket and wire them independently. Dan

Dan Hi Dan, Thanks for your reply. I will use this type of cables (of course 40-pin ones). I believe , if I can get the sockets soldered correctly, it should be alright. I have also used a multimeter to trace (very time consuming) the wiring in the PCBs. I think the orientations of the sockets should be correct. Maybe the photos and drawings in AlbEAGLE's website are the old version v.1.1 PCBs. BTW, can you send me the link of your old posts about the sockets? Also, looking forward to seeing your laser engraved faceplates. 👍 Best, KK
