Hi AlbEagle,
Do you have original 3D-files (body) of the Faceplate? I tried to convert the STL files from you website to a solid body but there is a error in the freqplate.stl.
I'm planning to use white PMMA panel and mill it in one piece to shape. Then paint it black and engrave it to get the white text.

If I had the files I would also be willing to optimize them for 3D printing (i.e. fixing the text width).

I have done them in tincercad. I can share them with you if you want.

Did some workarounds and I managed to convert both STL files to one single 3D body part. Now I can edit the drawing to make it pefect fit for CNC milling. I can share if someone want it.

I suggest to make sure the holes are a bit bigger because it might cause problems when not placing the buttons and switches correctly.

Question on the face plate, i know its in 2 pieces, thats perfect but the text is separate, can you really print the text and glue it on later or do we need to integrate it and paint it. I have never done a color change in 3d i presume this is difficult as we need to match the height exactly, and with one extruder this is something tricky. I have a Prusa but one color channel only Same goes for the buttons.

Regarding the text, it is difficult because it is small. Another way would be to leave it engraved and fill with color than sand it. But about the height it should be not difficult. I don't know about other software but i am using Simplify3d and when you start printing you can specify the height or you after finishing with the faceplate, the printer stops, than you change the filament and delete the faceplate, import the text and specify the height of the text (ex. 3mm from the bed). The printer then starts printing at that height (very easy).

an you make the text layer in the main file and raise the text a bit, so make it higher, i can print it then, now Prusa slicer comes with errors that the layer is to small. I would make them higher and i will paint them with white paint.
Thanks for the help Mike

I was able to get some okay results using that option in PrusaSlicer.

Raised the later in Cura and scaled it to 150% in Z-Axis. Great print

Just found this thread after posting to the share your cockpit section (see my photo there). An alternate method that worked for me was to laser cut and engrave the faceplate and buttons. I used the online service Ponoko.

There is an error in the bottom part of the face plate ( at least in mine). The 5 selector switch does not fit. The position is different. It there an update ? Else i will modify it myself if possible. Mike
