Hello, Many thanks for your most detailed and informative website, which has started again my desire to build my own version of your 172 cockpit. I have looked at doing this before, but unfortunately other things got in the way. After now reading through the experiences here, and remembering some of the things I read over the years, I have a few questions that somebody might be able to shed some light on.
1. I notice you mentioned using Project Magenta for your instruments, but further down in the paragraph you say you decided on AirManager. Did you use PM first and then decide on Airmanager, and why did you settle in the end on AirManager?
2. From my limited previous reading of building cockpits some years ago (the process are most likely changed now), there was lots of talks of needing to use FSUIPC and WideFS etc. in cockpit builds. I see you mentioned FSUIPC offsets for the radio panels - is this still necessary, and do you still use it?
3. Do you have a schematic of the full radio board?
Many thanks in advance, and thanks for your work. Im sure there will be more questions, and I hope these, if they come up, will not bother you too much.
Sincerely. Ger
