Hi, I have completed building the electronic part of the PCB version of radio stack. All the displays light up properly in the TEST run. BUT, when it is connected to MSFS 2020 via FSUIPC, there are some behaviors: 1. COM2 active, stby , NAV2 active stby , DME "MN" distance , DME "kt" speed , transponder and sometimes all the autopilot displays do not light up immediately after connected to NSFS 2020. I need to "activate" them by turning the encoders or by press "TEST" button in MF connector. After activating all of them one by one, they work just fine. 2. Also I create two configurations, one "ON" state and one "OFF" state for each display . When I switch off the aviation master switch in MSFS 2020 simulator, only COM1 active stby NAV1 active stby turn off properly. All the other displays do not turn off. So it seems that only the four displays COM1 active stby NAV1 active stby are 100% working. The others are not. Other than these two strange behaviors, the radio stack works fine. Will start drawing and laser cut the faceplate; and 3D print the buttons. Any ideas? KK

I have searched forums and as far as i can say (i might be wrong though) is that the max chips sometimes can not be initialized properly especially if they don't get powered first. So I would suggest to try the following startup 1. Open FS 2. Open FSUIPC 3. Plug the power on the board 4. Connect the Arduino/s 5. Open Mobiflight and do a test first than RUN. Also if you have a multimeter, check if GND is connected from Arduino to the board to the Power supply. See if these makes it work better.

Hi AlbEagle,
Thanks for your reply.
I checked the GND and it is ok.
Also tried your suggested steps to start the radio stack but it still did not function properly.
Anyway, thanks for your advice. Will search the web about the problem with MAX7219 chips.
Regards, KK
