Hi gang, i see some really great work being done and only hope I can come close to what all of you have achieved. I am a newbie so really need some hand holding to get started. Is there a set of directions somewhere that says the step by step process (and components) of what needs to be added to the PCBs (I ordered mine from JCLPCB so will have 5 of each to play with in case I make mistakes). I see posts for a variety of components (resistors, leds etc) that get soldered directly to the boards but I can't find anywhere a full list of what needs to be done!

Richard Hi Richard, once you get the faceplate and the components listed on the website, you will see that it is going to be easy, as the components are drawn on the PCB. But still if you need help at some point with any of them, please just post the question and either me or other members will help for sure.

Hello friends: I am new and I have ventured to build the cockpit of the Cessna 172. I have started to mount the RadioStack V2.0 board and once all the resistors specified on the web have been mounted "Flying for funflyingforfun.weebly.com", the following remain unmounted: 6, 29, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53,54, 55, 56, 57, 58,59, 60,61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69 and 70. Do they need to be mounted? If yes, where can I get the values? Thanks for your help. Best regards to all.

You may need to look thru the forum pages a bit more. All the capacitors and 10K resistors are for the MAX7219 and displays. They are needed. All to 100ohm resitors are used with the push button switches and the 220ohm reistors are used for the LED's flyingforfun.freeforums.net/thread/156/resistors-capacitors-v2-radio-stack----- Section 2 Resistors 100 Ohm - R37-R71 (QTY 34) 220 Ohm - R1-R4, R16, R18- R30 (QTY 17) 10k - R1 10K, R5-R15,R17,R31-R35 (QTY 17) Capacitors .1uF - C1,C3,C5,C7,C9,C11,C13,C16,C17,C19,C21,C24,C25,C27,C29,C31,C33,C35 (QTY 18) 10uF - C2,C4,C6,C8,C10,C12,C14,C15,C18,C20,C22,C23,C26,C28,C30,C32,C34,C36 (QTY 18) ----- So to answer your question, YES, they are needed in order to have a functioning board. in the end, the board shoud look like the attachment. I haven't added my LED's or COM/NAV POTs just yet as I'm working on the faceplate as well as another project at the same time. Be aware as you source your LED displays, make sure to get the correct ones with the correct pin order. Much of my frustration, my own doing, was with getting the incorrect displays.
