Hey how many Amps are needed to run the radio stack?
and on the same note is it the same for the GMA one? HI, Sorry for the late reply, I have been out of country for a week and then a bit busy. I have calculated the current needed at the beginning ( with the first boards) and I can't find the exact answer, maybe it is somwhere here in the forums, but I have been using 4 Amps power supply in all my builds and never had an issue. You can even go with a 3 Amps one without any problems. Once I get the 3.2, I will measure and let you know the exact number. The GMA 345 raughly the same, maybe a bit less. As a bootom line, 3 Amps and above is fine. I would recomend to use a PC Power supply. They are not that expensive, and have different power voltages, which you can use not only on the radio, but on other cockpit parts ( lightning, phone or tablet charging etc.)

I've just stripped my dead PC for the PSU as I had bought a breakout board from Aliexpress, if you want to turn a PSU on without the PC, take the only green wire and attach a switch to one side and the other to any of the black ground wires, makesure it a push button style switch ( momentary )
