Hello, Based on your description, I can not match your problem. I put you here a config file available, which contains all the displays of the C172 radio. Simply save it on the PC and open it with MF. Then you can control the settings, or equal to your Arduinos assign.
Radio Panel DSPL-ohne Precon.mcc (24.69 KB)

Could be a lot of things. I suggest you first check the connection. Then the Max Chips, you may have installed them the wrong way. Check for any shorts. I have installed the displays and they are working great. I didn't have time to program the buttons yet, but the displays are working great.

Hi Admin, hope you are doing well,
First of all let me say thank you for sharing such a super wonderfullll project, now this is my doubt:
I followed your path on the 7 segment display daisy chain process... and I messed it up while soldering... so I decided to create a new set of 2 7segment max7219, and it worked, but then i added a third one... and now it is not working, when running mobiflight, I go to test it (3 dots) ... first display module ok, second one ok, third one crashes and everything with it, so I have the following questions:
*when I choose the offset for COM1 Active... my list says: Radios-COM Freq... but yours say COM1 freq active... I couldnt find it in my list, nevertheless it works. *everything was wired directly from one module to other one... VCC1-VCC2; GND1-GND2;Dout1-Din2; loda1-cs2; CLK1-CLK2, think that's ok right? *I wired it very carefully, but how to evidence if maybe I burned the max7219? I even didnt touched it, just the pins In and Out were wired and soldered.
sometimes, module 1 and 2 works well.. I have configured COM1 and COM1SBY respectively, but as I have something wrong with the third module (NAV1 Active), if I switch active for sby... everything crashes and weird characters are shown.
Appreciate your help, kind regards,
